About the Artist

Mark Klett was born in Albany, New York and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton. New York (1974). He then received a Master of Fine Arts in photography from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1977. Klett is known internationally for his photographs and has held solo exhibitions at such galleries and museums as the National Museum of American Art. Smithsonian Institution in Washington. D.C.; Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago. Illinois; Galeria Juana Mordo in Madrid, Spain; Galerie DB-S in Antwerp, Belgium and the Pace Wildenstein MacGill Gallery in New York City. Klett's work is included in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth. Texas; the Art Institute of Chicago in Illinois; the Australian National Gallery of Art; the Antwerp Museum of Photography in Belgium and the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona. Mark Klett is an Associate Professor of Art at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
