(Born circa 1950) A Cheyenne woman who married into a pueblo family from Cochiti, Margaret Quintana originally was taught to work with beads and leather. After moving to Cochiti to live with her husband, Paul Quintana, she was encouraged to begin working with clay by her mother-in-law, Margaret Ortiz Quintana.
Margaret Quintana's preference for using micaceous clay found at Taos, lends a different appearance to her figures. She has also begun writing children's stories, as a further expansion of her talent.
