About the Artist

One of Betty Manygoats' daughters, Elizabeth is recognized as a skilled potter when it comes to creating hand-built pottery vessels and vignettes using traditional firing methods. Elizabeth is especially assocated with appliqued horny toads, as well as ears of corn and prickly pear cacti. Her pictorial scenes of Navajo life are particularly unique. Originally from Tonalea, Arizona, Elizabeth sometimes dates her pottery with the year they were made.
