"My figures of children, adults, animals, some with masks and headdresses or facades, are all self-portraits, clothed in kaleidoscopic color and multiple patterns and are placed in an indeterminate time and space to leave interpretations open to the spectators to elicit their own experiences . . . From a rich heritage through Polish and Hungarian parents, I have inherited a love of patterning, color, hand-made clothing and costuming" Ka Graves Ka is included in the Heller book North American Women Artists of the Twentieth Century and Who's Who in American Art (1997-1998).
