(1946-2010) Alfredo Manzo Cedena was born in Havana, studying at the Academia San Alejandro to become a teacher. He earned his degree in Arts Education with a specialization in Plastic Arts from the Higher Pedagogical Institute in 1996. "Like many Cuban artists, Manzo has utilized and combined both Cuban and American cliches to produce political art statements." a former director of the Arizona State University Art Museum commented. This artist's work has been exhibited in both Cuba and the United States.
