About the Artist
(1944-2019) This Tucson sculptor's mother was the painter Mac Schweitzer. Kit often worked in metal, exhibiting his water fountains at El Tecolote Gallery in Palm Desert, California and at Turquoise Tortoise in Tubac, Arizona..He also carved and fabricated wood form and makes collage and painted paper-covered spheres. This artist sold his work through galleries as early as 1972.
In 1971 Mr. Schweitzer earned his M.F.A. in Ceramics from Arizona State University, after acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Arizona in Tucson at 1966.
