About the Artist

Born in Jerusalem in 1942, David Erez was killed in the Yom Kippur War in 1973. He studied at the Orban Studio in Sydney, Australia and at the Columbia School of Arts in New York, where he trained in printmaking. In Austria he worked as a painter and cartoonist at the Jewish Herald newspaper. In 1963 he won the Bnai Brith Prize for Painting in Australia.
