About the Artist

After serving in the Merchant Marines during World War II, Harold LeDoux saved enough money to attend the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. After moving to New York City, he began working with Famous Funnies, the first comic book publisher. Beginning in 1953 he helped Dan Heilman on the Judge Parker comic strip. In 1965 when Heilman died, LeDoux became responsible for producing the strip's artwork in its entirety. LeDoux is a member of the National Cartoonist Society, the Comics Council and the Alliance Francaise. In 2006 LeDoux retired from Judge Parker, having worked on it for over 50 years.
