About the Artist
Nicholas Wilson was born in Seattle, Washington in 1947. He was employed from 1970-77 at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum near Tucson, Arizona, initially as curator of exhibits, then as staff artist. He later worked as staff artist at the Larson Company in Tucson.Wilson’s highly detailed illustrations of wildlife have been featured in Southwest Art, American Artist, Arizona Highways, Ranger Rick, Yankee Magazine and other publications.
A member of the Society of Animal Artists in New York, Wilson’s artwork has been exhibited extensively in the U.S. and in Europe. He is represented in permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institute and the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
