Marvin Toddy was born in northeastern Arizona in 1954, the son of renowned Navajo artist Jimmy Toddy. Sr. (Beatien Yazz). Educated at Winslow High School, he works in oil, watercolor and pencil, depicting Navajo people and their everyday lives in a representational style.
Marvin Toddy has won awards at the Heard Museum, the Philbrook Art Center and the Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. In addition, his work has been shown at Indian markets in Sante Fe and the Museum of Northern Arizona.
