Paul's earlier, more traditional work has been seen in several national shows, such as The Eiteljorg Museum, The Autry Museum of Western Heritage, the Wichita Art Museum, The Museum of Northern Arizona, and the Desert Caballeros Western Art Museum), as well as galleries from coast to coast. His work has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, Art of the West, Western Horseman Magazine, and many other publications.
Paul's current studio practice includes sculptural and assemblage work, drawing, and oil on canvas painting. His experimentation with media and the blending of genres began in the 1980s. Subject matter for his work runs the gamut from Plein Aire landscapes to commissioned portraits, cowboy paintings, and abstract paintings that relate to the physical world and its translation into paint." taken from the artist's website Verburgstudio.com
