About the Artist
(Born 1932, American) An early devotee of drawing, Brackett began in the second grade and never stopped. His instructor was the artist Kenneth Adams at the University of New Mexico. Additional art study was undertaken with Millard Sheets, Robert E. Wood, Charles Reid and Milford Zornes.A member of the American Watercolor society in New York. Brackett has one national and regional awards. In 1980 he switched to painting with oils, corresponding to a loose, painterly style of paint application.
Brackett and his wife, also an artist moved to Taos, New Mexico in the 1980's.
