Formerly
a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, Marlene Garbo Linderman was born in New York
City. She earned three degrees from universities: BS from State University of New York in
Buffalo; BFA from Albright Knox Art School and an MFA from Pennsylvania State
University.
For more than twenty years Linderman worked as a courtroom artist for television programs, mostly local. She taught at Arizona State University, Sacramento State University and Pennsylvania State University. She was elected to the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and was active in the Women’s Art Caucus in the early 1980’s.
