About the Artist

Marty Naha Nampeyo and Elvira Polacca Nampeyo live at First Mesa on the Hopi reservation in Arizona. Elvira began making pottery in 1980. She and her husband. Marty. colaborate on pottery depicting various katsinas. They are cited in Hopi-Tewa Pottery 500 Biographies by Gregory Schaaf and in Fourteen Families in Pueblo Pottery by Rick Dillingham.
