He worked in both silver and gold, excelling at lapidary work as well.  Kirk was the IACA Artist of the Year in 1996.  He was awarded First Place and Best of Division at Santa Fe Indian Market as well as Best of Category at the Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial in Gallup, NM.
