About the Artist
(Born 1968) Michelle Tapia North, born in Santa Fe, New Mexico is culturally diverse: Hispanic, Comanche, Santo Domingo heritages.A student of Denise and Sam Wallace, she began making jewelry in 1992. Their aesthetic influence is entirely obvious when viewing North's work.
Michelle has received numerous awards at Sant Fe's Contemporary Spanish Market: Best of Show, 5 Best of Fine Jewelry, 2 Best of Fine Crafts.
