About the Artist
(1905-1996, Hopi) Later named White Bear, Fredericks attended Phoenix Indian School. Later he taught arts and crafts and dance at the Phoenix Boys Club.
Kucha Honawah was his Indian name.
Fredericks' illustrations of Hopi rain dancing were in Arizona Highways magazine in their July 1959 issue. He also produced kachina carvings as well as murals.
