About the Artist

(Born 1949)  In 1988 this artist of Apache heritage began to fashion jewelry.  Her distinctive work is produced without the use of power tools.  Instead she snips metal into shapes before beating their outer surfaces against rocks to achieve a totally organic expression.  Jan Loco's work is typically in short supply, as its execution is so labor intensive.
