About the Artist
(Born 1961, Navajo) "Nelson Tsosie is well known for his pastel portraits and figure studies of contemporary and traditional Navajo people set against their native landscape." His work as a sculptor working in stone as well as bronze is also highly regarded.Tsosie's work is included in books and magazines highlighting the talents of Navajo artists. His awards are plentiful beginning in 1986.
Of course Tsosie's work is in the collection of the Navajo Nation Museum located in Window Rock, Arizona.
