About the Artist

Patrick Lester's book, The Biographical Directory of Native American Painters names Jimmy Toddy Jr. as one of Beatien Yazz's children. "I have three other children (in addition to his three oldest sons) entering the field of art: my daughter Frances Toddy, who has been painting since she was ten, Jimmy Jr. and Orland Toddy. They are 11 through 22 years of age." This was taken from personal correspondence of Beatien Yazz (Jimmy Toddy Sr).
