(Born 1947) Ted Colyer was born in Nova Scotia, Canada.
After studying art at Mt. Allison University, Colyer spent 17 years in Japan to learn traditional Japanese woodblock printing. Clearly Japan sourced the artist with both subject matter and a tendency to distill compositions. Tutelage under Toshi Yoshida presented another level of experience while living in Japan.
Both a painter and a fine printmaker, this artist's current work can be viewed on his website www.tedcolyer.com
Since 1988, Colyer has been living in his native Canada.
