(1925-2014) Ruth Concord Frerichs was born in White Plains, New York, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at Connecticut College. Frerichs later studied at the Art Students League.
Largely known for her watercolors, Frerichs exhibited at the American Watercolor Society at their National Academy galleries in New York; with Watercolor USA held in Springfield, Missouri; with the National Watercolor Society staged at the Laguna Beach Art Museum; at the Museum of Albuquerque; at Southern Methodist University; at Connecticut College; at the Phoenix Art Museum; and at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts.
Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Southeast Missouri State University, at Arizona State University as well as by various Arizona banks and by private collectors.
Frerichs resided in Arizona for a few decades.
