About the Artist
(Born 1949, Hopi) A member of the Flute-Deer clan, Namoki grew up in the village of Walpi and currently resides in First Mesa (Polacca), Arizona. He has been active making pottery since 1983, basing his pottery on Hopi culture and myths. The colors he uses are minerals from the earth, no paints are used. His pottery is recognized throughout the world, two of his pots are part of the Smithsonian Institute permanent collection.
