About the Artist

(Born circa 1900-deceased, Zuni Pueblo) Mr. Leak was best known for his depiction of knifewing, dragonfly and butterfly imagery using mosaic inlay.

A maker of bracelets, earrings, link belts, pendants, pins and rings, he originally worked as a smith for Zuni trader C.G. Wallace.  His last name is most likely an abbreviated form of Leakity.
