About the Artist

(1910-1976) This twentieth century painter originally from Romania later immigrated to Israel in 1933.  He studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Bucharest between 1927 and 1929.  

Gilboa was one of the founders of the Artist's Quarter, Safed.

Often David Gilboa depicted portraits as well as landscapes. His style of painting is relatively loose as well as representational.
