(1898-1991) At the age of thirteen Shiro Kasamatsu because a student of Kaburagi Kiyotaka. As early as 1919 Kasamatsu began designing woodblock prints for the publisher Watanabe. In the 1930's he also published many prints for Watanabe. Subsequently he created many more with the publisher Unsodo between 1952 and 1959.
In the late 1950's the artist began self-carving and self-printing woodblock prints in the Sosaku Hanga style. Often he depicted scenes focused on landscapes.
