(Born 1942, San Juan) Dominguita Sisneros Naranjo learned pottery making from her mother Tomasita Montoya. Dominguita's forms are rather refined and yet still organic. Often her redware forms present polished surfaces as well as bands of geometrically-incised matt finished exteriors.
San Juan pueblo is currently referred to as Ohkay Oswingeh which translates to "Strong People". This artist's culture reflects her commanding vessels.
