About the Artist

(Choctaw, Born 1928) Born in Muskogee, OK, Mary Cecilia Bresser Young was the daughter of Lillie Willis and Herman Bresser.

Young studied under Joan Hill, Ruth M. White, Dick West, Roger Lee White and John Arthur.

She is listed in Jeanne Snodgrass (1968) and Brody (1971)

Young won awards at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma in the years 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1975 and 1976.  Her exhibition records are extensive.
