About the Artist

(Born 1954, Isleta) Robin Teller is the daughter of Stella Teller, an artist actively fashioning pottery since 1962.  Robin Teller has been making pottery from roughly 1988 forward, making storytellers, nativity groupings, human and animal figures, polychrome jars and bowls.

Teller won a First prize for her storyteller in 1991, a Third prize in 1992, both of these at the Indian Market in Santa Fe, NM.  She was awarded Best of Division for her figurative pottery at the Heard Museum in 1998.

Her work is listed in several books covering 20th century American Indian pottery:  Southwestern Pottery:  Anasazi to Zuni; Pueblo Pottery Families; Storytellers and Other Figurative Pottery.
