(Born circa 1940) Cathleen Daly earned her BA in Art History at the University of California. Upon graduation, she began studies at the Academia dei Belli Arte in Rome, Italy. Atelier 17 in Paris was Daly's next art training destination, working with the master artist and printer Liao Shiou Ping.
Traveling and exhibiting repeatedly in Japan and Taiwan over the last twenty years, Daly was commissioned by the University of Western Michigan to represent their renowned department of American women's poetry. She has been a member of the Taidemaalarillitto Ry (Finnish Painters' Union) and has repeatedly received fellowships from the Cite International des Arts in Paris and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
Daly has taught printmaking at the University of San Francisco and at College of the Redwoods in Eureka and at California State University in Chico. She had earned her Master of Arts in Printmaking in earlier years.
