(Born 1953) Making pottery since 1988, Anna Archuleta was taught by her mother Belen Tapia.
Anna specializes in stone polished redware carved bowls, jars and plates. Soem of these are decorated with bear claws, feather patterns, lightning and avanyu (the plumed serpent). Gathering clay from the vicinity of Santa Clara pueblo, Archuleta uses natural slips, firing her pottery outdoors.
Her husband Fidel contributes to this family's pottery making by carving and firing hand-coiled vessels.
