About the Artist

(Born 1959) Sharing the heritage of both San Ildefonso and Santa Clara, Gutierrez grew up painting. She won her first major art award in 1975, when just 16 years young!

Five years later she was honored to participate in a two person show at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The other featured artist was her uncle, Gilbert Atencio.
