(Born 1963) "This Navajo artist majored in commercial art, winning a full scholarship to the two year degree program at the Institute of American Indian Arts. He graduated with the school's award for Outstanding Two- Dimensional artist.
In 2003 John was the poster artist for the Santa Fe Indian Market. In 2001 he was chosen the poster artist for the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art in Indianapolis, Indian. He won 1st place for painting at the Santa Fe Indian Market. In 2009 he received Best of Show at the Annual Native American Art Show in Blanding, Utah.
John spent much of his childhood attending healing events associated with his grandfather, a medicine man. These ranged from seasonal rituals to sand painting ceremonies whre he often participated and was instructed by the most revered members of his culture: the medicine men.
John's characteristic messenger is the Yei Be Chai, an ethereal messager to the Dineh."
