Born in Cyril, Oklahoma, son of Bernice Looking Glass and grandson of Big Looking Glass, chief of the Comanches during the early settlement of Oklahoma. Eckiwaudah has been painting since 1935. He exhibited his work between 1953 through 1964 according to Jeanne Snodgrass's book on American Indian Painters.
