About the Artist

Born circa 1940, this Zuni jeweler is respected as a master of needlepoint jewelry.

"She innovated raised needlepoint in which the stones are shaped like arcing rainbows. Some of her masterpieces featured over 400 needlepoint turquoise per set. She learned from her parents and displays exceptional talent."

Given the title of Precious Living Treasure by the Inter-Tribal Ceremonial, Edith has won Best of Show at Santa Fe's Indian Market and the Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial.

Each stone is done with a dome shape that she has perfected.
