"A Dutchman who came to England in the 1680's, Moll was a bookseller and an engraver of maps. Initially he had premises in Blackfriars and later in the Srand. He produced a wide range of maps from miniature to very large, decorated with inset plans and pictures.
Moll produced both county maps as well as world maps depicting India, North America, Scotland, Italy and more. He died in London in 1732." lifted from Maps & Prints for Pleasure and Investment by D.C. Gohm
