(Born 1946) A signature member of both an Oil Painters of America (OPA) as well as Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters, Peet originally earned a Bachelor of Arts in Painting at Colorado College. Later she earned a Masters in Interior Design from the University of Colorado. Peet took additional art instruction privately from noted artists (Wayne Wolfe and Ralph Oberg, Skip Whitcomb, George Strickland, Kenn Backhaus, Joe Abbrescia, John Budicin, Howard Carr, Matt Smith and Jove Wang).
Peet's numerous awards include an Award of Merit in 2009 from the American Impressionist Society, amongst the top 100 in the 2005 Arts for the Parks exhibition, an Award of Excellence for Quick Draw by the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum in 2008 plus many others bestowed on her in Colorado and California as well.
She has participated in the venerable Mountain Oyster Club Western Art Show since 1999, which is by invitation only.
