View Full Size Image of Floral Drop Earrings Royston Turquoise, Jewelry by Zuni Jewelry
These darly beautiful earrings are Zuni handcrafted some time in the 1940's. Silver was precious and rationed. The dark green to intense blue turquoise stones are probably from the Royston mine in Nevada. They are painstakingly hand cut in tear drop shapes and bezel set to form leaves and petals of a flower work with a single round stone for that flower's heart! The work is careful and delicate. The fine stem of the flower is framed by two other stems--each with turquoise leaves touching the bloom at the bottom. Originally created as watch tips, someone decided they would be better as earrings. With the addition of Native American hand-made wires, they have become the striking accessory they are today !! The pendants are not only extremely attractive, their size and weight are comfortable with a movement that compliments every turn or nod of one's head!
