About The Bisbee Turquoise Pendant Earrings

These very wearable handsome little earrings were originally created as pierced earrings with simple wires. Vintage buttons were added to the wires later to "fancy them up" a bit. All the work os Navajo hand-crafted with a simple classic elegance. The buttons are the same 1940's - 1950's vintage and they do contribute a more finished look !! The Bisbee turquoise is top grade, natural in a clean little serrated bezel with wire twist frame. The style is timeless--casual to formal.

About Navajo
The Navajo were the first of the Native Americans of the Southwest to learn silversmithing from the Spanish. Most Navajo jewelry emphasizes silver, with turquoise stones used as an accent. Some pieces are cast in sand or tufa molds, while others are hammered, using a male stamp and a female die.
