About The Good Ole Boys

This eye catching painting was acquired when first displayed at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. The prospective buyers had no difficulty locating the artist in the large foyer, as Jim Pile dressed to resemble the middle figure, which is facially his self portrait. This painting was later exhibited at Arizona State University's Studio Art Faculty Exhibition in 1979. Catalogue for same accompanies the painting.

An enjoyable composition, Good Ole Boys, embodies visual cliches of life in Arizona during the late 1970's. This painting has been borrowed twice for gallery exhibitions back East.
