About The View from the Mesa

A color saturated southwestern landscape topped by luscious clouds. These are features that draw visitors back to Arizona.

About Jerry Konwith
Somewhat of a Sedona recluse with a talent for maintaining bountiful vegetable gardens, Jerry Konwith studied art at Arizona State University, where he specialized in printmaking, earning his BFA in 1971. Konwith's work was chosen for inclusion in both the 8th and the 9th Southwest Invitationals via the Arizona Commission on the Arts and Humanities (1973, 1974). He participated in the Four Corners' States Biennial at the Phoenix Art Museum in 1975. Konwith has received various purchase awards over two decades and in the Fall of 1998 he was named Sedona Art Center Artist of the Month. Glendale Community College and Yuma Fine Arts Museum both include Konwith's work in their permanent collections. His paintings are typically a marriage of sky and landscapes demonstrating his special affinity for cloud forms. In particular Konwith has an emotional attachment to the land in and around Verde Valley in Arizona.
