About The Artwork

Wearing flowers that never fade is one notion of jewelry that is permanently optimistic! These two Zuni artists produced extremely unique floral inlay statements with ease and elegance.

About The Artist
Anselm Wallace, Zuni, was born circa 1935. Living at Zuni Pueblo, he was active as a jeweler from 1955-1991, specializing in mosaic and channel inlay. He was well-known for his flower design, often referred to as a desert rose. Anselm collaborated with his wife, Rosita Wallace, who is known for her butterflies. The Wallaces did not begin signing their work until 1979.
