About The Artist
Anselm Wallace, Zuni, was born circa 1935. Living at Zuni Pueblo, he was active as a jeweler from 1955-1991, specializing in mosaic and channel inlay. He was well-known for his flower design, often referred to as a desert rose. Anselm collaborated with his wife, Rosita Wallace, who is known for her butterflies.
The Wallaces did not begin signing their work until 1979.
