Streamline, mid-century modern Navajo-made barrette. Graceful, acute triangle with rounded corners, framed by a 3/16" polished band. Within this band is a 1/8" wide "rope" created using a single line hand stamp. The central portion of the piece is carefully domed to serve as a foundation for a somewhat egg-shaped cabochon of twilight blue natural turquoise with rust to black matrix and one tiny piece of crystal. This is very high grade Lone Mountain mine material. The reverse of this hair ornament is fitted with two rows of silver comb "teeth" and an adjustable double wire latch mechanism--simple, but effective! What a wonderful way to secure a special woman's "crowning glory" !!!!
