This stunning bracelet features a "Star Blower" theme, which is part of the Hopi ancestral story.

The kachinas are believed to be ancestors of the Hopi who came to this earth after a long journey through the stars.  It is believe these powerful being continue to watch over the Hopi and will some day return.

Mr. Coochwytewa did work with Hubaert Noethen on the special treatment settin fo the diamonds.  They had an admiration for each other and found each other through numerous articles featuring their work in Arizona Highways.  It was during the 70's that Nave work took a turn to gold and diamonds.  Victor was naturally drawing to Hubert, whose skill with graver diamond setting had become legendary.  They worked together when Victor visited Hubert at his studio on Cattle Track in Scottsdale, Arizona.

About the Artist (1922-2011) A Hopi jeweler who was a member of the Water Clan, Victor Coochwyetewa resided at Shungopavi, Second Mesa in Arizona.

His hallmark was a triple rain cloud symbol with five downward vertical strokes signifying rain.  Often he positioned a Kokopelli flute player near his rain cloud symbol.

Size 1 1/16" continuous width of band. Interior measures 5 5/16" end to end with 1 1/8" opening. The decorated gold center measures 5 9/16" length X 9/16" continuous width.

Description Mill-rolled sheets of sterling silver and 14K gold were used with 25 round white diamonds set into the "stars". Each diamond averages 2 mm in diameter. There are 6 bead prongs and 6 tiny perfect pointed rays around each diamond.
