This dynamic work of art is an example of Kravjansky's innovative modernist work employing several printmaking techniques to which he added metal overlay.

About the Artist (Born 1928, Czechoslovakian) After having earned a degree in Fine Art in Slovakia, Kravjansky left Europe in 1968.  He chose to settle in Canada where he served as an Assistant Professor at an Arts Academy between 1969 and 1975.  Kravjansky then became a graphic designer for a shoe company followed by work as a designer for the Repertory State Theater.  He later became head of Art and Design for the State Television, after which he designed sets and costumes for various productions to include opera, ballet and drama.  His work as creator, designer and director of The Black Box Theater of Canada was repeated in connection to the Fantastica TV series for Columbia Pictures.

Kravjansky's exhibitions span many countries world wide: Austria, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Egypt, Hungary, India, Poland, Switzerland and the United States.

A resident of Canada, he continues making art as well as writing poetry.
