About the Artist 18th century British engraver who was active in Edinburgh during the latter half of the 18th century.  

He was best known for etchings made after Rembrandt, Ostade, Cornelius, Bega and Van Vliet, masters of the Dutch and Flemish schools.  Deuchar also created some original designs.
