Likely this scene is in Northern California, painted while Dave Sellers was poised outside standing beside his easel.
|About the Artist||(Born circa 1963) Sellers attended Humboldt State University, focusing largely on painting wildlife subjects. He received requests from California Ducks Unlimited and The California Waterfowl Association to be their artist of the year. Sellers also was among the youngest artists to be asked to exhibit his work at the Birds in Art exhibit at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.
By the mid 1990's he chose to depict landscapes, working "plein aire" most of the time. Later in his career he produced more refined treatments of landscapes in his studio.
