About John Angelo
(Born 1946, Navajo)  Born in Flagstaff, Arizona, Angelo Marvin John because one of the first American Indian pilots in the U.S. Air Force.

His paintings are in the permanent collection of the Heard Museum, the Institute of American Indian, the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian as well as the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Angelo is cited in Patrick Lester's book The Biographical Directory of American Indian Painters, Jeanne Snodgrass's book American Indian Painters:  A Biographical Directory as well as Clara Lee Tanner's book Southwest Indian Painting:  A Changing Art.
