About The Cross-Eyed Lion

Springstone is a local hard variety of Serpentine taken from quaries in Africa.

Artists such as Tembo use a chisel and hammer to carve these chunks of rock, polishing them as a final process with wax, after first heating the stone.  These labor intensive processes take place without the assistance of electrical tools.

Fair warning !  This "cat" weighs roughly 40 pounds independent of packing.

The last photograph shows Knowledge beside the sculpture he made.
