About The Three Little Pigs

Blum couples a wry sense of humor with amazing draftmanship, infusing his work with a special pleasure. Each etching is extremely detailed and sharply defined, rendering many with social commentary. They are both inventive and well composed. Faces are both smiling and alluring.

About Zevi Blum
Zevi Blum was born in Paris in 1933, although his parents were Americans. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture at Cornell University in 1957. A licensed architest, Blum practiced architecture in New York. In the years to follow he was a drawing instructor at Ithaca College, and finally an Associate Professor at Cornell University. Blum's first solo exhibition took place at the The Contemporaries in 1966. The following year he exhibited there and at the Philadelphia Water Color Society. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States, Germany and Switzerland. He was commissioned to create a mural for a reeception room as well as another mural for a Synagogue in Stamford, Connecticut. The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngtown, Ohio as well as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts include Blum's work in their permanent holdings.
